Author-to-Author Event: Tom Hanchett & Pamela Grundy
Join us for an evening exploring Charlotte’s past, present, and future, featuring two of our city’s most celebrated writers and historians. Tom Hanchett and Pamela Grundy will guide us in a discussion about what makes Charlotte a unique “New South” city, the legacy our city carries, and the challenges we face in becoming a prosperous and equitable city. This is the first in Troubadour Booksellers’ Author-to-Author interview series in which two authors interview each other, examining each other’s work, backgrounds, and processes.

About the authors
Tom Hanchett is a community historian based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is the author of Sorting Out the New South City and Affordable Housing in Charlotte: What One City’s History Tells Us about America’s Pressing Problem.
Pamela Grundy is a historian and author who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her books include Shattering the Glass: The Remarkable History of Women’s Basketball, Teaching U.S. History through Sport, and Color and Character: West Charlotte High and the American Struggle over Educational Equity.
